Net Zero Strategy
Net Zero Strategy Report for Chamberlains Aqua & Energy Systems Limited (CAESL):September 2024
Our Commitment to Net Zero
In line with the 2015 Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global warming to a maximum of 2°C above pre-industrial levels, CAESL has launched the “Route to Net Zero” initiative. Our approach focuses on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through responsible energy management, with plans to address Scope 3 emissions by 2025. By focusing on innovative solutions, such as our TASHEX system, we are not only reducing our own carbon footprint but also helping our clients transition to sustainable technologies.
Net Zero Strategy Highlights
- Carbon Footprint Baseline (2023): Our emissions primarily stem from natural gas (Scope 1) and electricity (Scope 2) usage. A detailed analysis has shown that 84.6% of our emissions come from Scope 1, with 15.4% from Scope 2.
- Strategic Scenarios: We have developed three scenarios for achieving Net Zero emissions. These range from low penetration, targeting Net Zero by 2050, to high penetration, targeting 2040. The medium penetration scenario, which aims for Net Zero by 2045, has been adopted as part of our roadmap.
- Action Plan: Our action plan focuses on the next three years, laying the groundwork for a long-term transition to Net Zero. This includes reducing energy use, optimizing processes, and incorporating emerging sustainable technologies.
Supporting Our Clients on Their Route to Net Zero
At CAESL, our commitment extends beyond our own operations. We help clients reduce their carbon footprints through innovative products and services, such as:
- TASHEX: A smart heat exchanger that enhances the efficiency and lifespan of solar panels.
- EPC⁺: Our energy and water efficiency assessment tool that can result in up to 55% savings.
- Route to Net Zero Service: A tailored service helping businesses develop and achieve their sustainability strategies.
By partnering with CAESL, clients can meet regulatory requirements, cut costs, and contribute to a global effort to mitigate climate change.
Continuous Improvement and Future Outlook
Our Net Zero Strategy is dynamic and will be reviewed every five years to integrate new technologies and lessons learned from implementation. This ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation in energy efficiency and sustainability.
